NRM Deputy Secretary General Richard Todwong has reportedly been injured on the leg in a shooting incident along the Kampala- Gulu highway.
Todwong was reportedly travelling Saturday night from Kampala to Gulu when the incident happened at a yet to be identified location. He was briefly at the privately owned Gulu Independent Hospital for treatment before being evacuated Sunday morning using a military helicopter. The chopper, a source says landed at the Gulu military barracks where Todwong was picked by his brother Major Gen Charles Otema Awany, the commander of the Reserve Forces.
It is still unclear what exactly happened that led to the injury on Todwong’s leg. But sources say Todwong met a ”rowdy crowd” along the road and pulled out his pistol. What happened after that– resulting into an injury on the leg of the NRM Deputy Secretary General is unclear–leading to speculation he could have mishandled the pistol and accidentally shot his leg.

Sorry for what happened but the bible tells us that he who live by sword dies by sword. Is he an army man? Are armies allowed to shoot rowdy crowd? Or are they allowed to carry guns in public?
That man is not a soldier, he was taking law into his hand, like his brother Otema Awany. There is time for every thing, Acholi blood is watching!!!
